Passport To Paris

As you may remember, I've been planning on taking a trip to France this upcoming winter break. I finally booked my ticket and am beyond thrilled for the holidays to get here. Not only will this be my first year of not having to work on New Year's Eve but I will be spending the New Year in France, non the less.

I'll be staying with my friend Andrea, who recently moved to Bourge, France and is living there for the next year to teach English. She informed that Bourge is known for their white wine and goat cheese, or chèvre, and I can't wait to try it all.

As I'm still waiting for my passport to arrive, I've been looking to buy a new cover for it and found these from the lifestyle blog, A Piece of Toast.

  1. Thanks for stopping by. I'm glad that post resonated with you as much as it did me! Happiness is sometimes elusive, but I have to say, this trip to France will help you find it! :) I used to work in Paris and Marseille on and off for about 2 years. The only advice I can give is to stick with your friend in the local places. I've always found that in France, the more authentic an experience you have there, the more you'll enjoy it. The touristy spots are full of Frenchies sick of foreigners in white tennis shoes and Nike shirts, if you know what I mean. ;) You will love it! Have a great time!

  2. Amy, thank you for the tips and kind words! I feel the same exact way about NYC, I hadn't got too much of a feel for the city until I explored beyond the tourist traps. There are so many amazing hole-in-the-wall or off the radar types of attractions & many many delicious spots to eat in Brooklyn, which is why I'm so thankful for having my cousin Niki who lives there. I'm quite excited for France, and I'll keep your words in mind. xx.

  4. Catie, I know, I can't believe it either! I didn't even think about that until after I booked the ticket. Don't worry though, I'll take enough pictures to make you feel like you were there too :)
