An Appetite For Autumn

What does autumn mean for you?

For me, it's a time to lace up a pair of oxfords, tuck in a sweater covered flannel, bury yourself in a book, scrub out pink stained fingers from peeling pomegranates and relish in the freshness of the new season.

Find solace in the warmth of your wool socked feet, sugar a steaming cup of dark roast coffee, rummage through dad's music collection for anything by Billie Holiday and early Saturday mornings spent at the farmers marketsifting through crowds of foodiesin search of deep green leafy kale, cloves of fresh garlic, and a handful of carrots for the new found recipe of curried carrot soup.

A time to reflect on summers end and surrender to the new bursts of muted colors that envelope you.

  1. Wow, these photos are simply breath taking. You have an amazing talent to make the everyday life look like something out of a magazine. This is my absolute favorite time. Not just because it's Fall, but the line between Summer and Fall is still present.

  3. Amielle, I can only take credit for a couple of the photographs, but I'm glad you enjoyed the post. :)
