A Moment Worth Everything

With valentines day right around the corner, maybe this will inspire you to write a small note to a loved one. Personal gifts that come from the heart are always your best route because knowing that someone put time, effort and thought into a gift makes it much more special.

If you're single, get a few of your girl friends together for homemade dinner before popping in a movie. A couple of my personal favorites are 500 Day Of Summer and Eternal Sunshine Of A Spotless Mind. Enjoy!

DIY: Underwear Rolls

Since time keeps inching closer and closer to Christmas day, I thought I'd share one of my favorite  simple and cute DIY projects! These underwear rolls make perfect small gifts for your secret santa, or to use as a fun stocking stuffers. I made a set for my sister and some friends a few years back, needless to say they were such a hit! Here's how...

g a t h e r
+ choice of underwear | hint |
+ silicone cupcake liners | hint |
+ clear cellophane wrap | hint |
+ pretty ribbon | hint |

t h e n
+ fold underwear in half
+ roll them up
+ place in cupcake liner
+ wrap with cellophane
+ tie ribbon around
+ voilà!

Before wrapping in cellophane, top these off with colorful paper confetti for added pizazz! Your friends will be so impressed with how creative you are! :)

A 2012 Calendar

I'd first discovered Kurt Halsey when I was around 16 or so, and since then I've always been able to count on receiving one of his wonderfully illustrated calendars from my sister, Catherine. I usually try to stay away from his website before Christmas day since I don't want to spoil the surprise, but I thought I'd just give a small preview.

Holiday Cards

Sending out unique or homemade holiday cards add something special to the kind act of writing to loved ones ones. I always try to find the time to give heart felt cards and gifts, and still on the hunt for a special pack. The above are a few nice choices I've found thus far.

I especially love the second card- so simple and I just love designs that are able to get the message across without the unnecessary clutter. Good luck and happy holidays.
