A Toast to the New Year

Since I'll be in Barcelona for NYE, I thought I'd share a cocktail recipe and a few links to check out in the meantime.

This kir royale cocktail makes for a perfect new years gathering. It's simple, sweet and easy to make. Gather: a bottle of French champagne, chambord and a handful of fresh raspberries. Place champagne flutes into freezer 15 minutes prior. Remove flutes, pour in champagne and one tablespoon of chambord to each flute. Toss in a raspberry or two to each glass and enjoy.

p.s. best if served immediately

Cocktail Hour // Raspberry Mojitos

1 cup of bacardi superior (chilled)
1 cup of key lime soda (add extra if you like your drinks on the sweet side)
3 cups of club soda
1-2 containers of raspberries
10-15 ripped mint leaves
2 limes

In a medium sized pitcher, pour in the bacardi & soda and place to the side. muddle together the raspberries and ripped mint leaves, then pour that into the bacardi/soda. Cut up lots of lime wheels and toss them into the pitcher, but leave a few out to use as a garnish.
Pour into an ice filled collins glass and enjoy.
